H20 Mop X5 Review & Giveaway
I’m a little bit of a clean freak. Any mess and dirt can drive me up the wall, and with a toddler running around there is always something to clean. I recently put the H20 Mop X5 to the test.
The H20 Mop X5 5-In-1 isn’t the first steam mop I have tried. I bought another brand a few years ago and, honestly, I think it’s great. So I had high hopes for the H20 mops to begin with and I wasn’t sure if there would be much difference between the two.
After only a few seconds of using the H20 Mop X5 I came to realize that it’s in a totally different league.
Why a steam mop?
Many of today’s cleaners contain unnecessary chemicals, some being linked to cancer. My son is in close contact with our floor every day, from crawling to playing with his toys and I don’t want him in contact with chemicals that could harm him. Steam works, it’s hot and it kills germs on contact. That’s my #1 reason on why I prefer using the H20 Mop X5 over a traditional mop and bucket.
Does The H20 Mop X5 Work?
After turning the mop on and selecting what setting (I used the lowest on my laminate floors) I was able to make my son’s crayon “art” disappear with no effort at all. I held the mop over where there was crayon for a few seconds, wiped and it was gone. My old steam mop required me to “pump it to work” but this one continuously emits steam. All I had to do was glide it over my floors and it dries in less then a minute. The steam is very hot (I burnt myself while removing the microfiber pad when I was done) so be careful and let it cool before you toss it in the wash.
I find that the triangular cleaning head makes it easy to clean around rounded and hard to reach areas like the toilet and the corners of rooms.
Something different that the H20 Mop X5 provides is the window cleaning attachment. Simply remove the cleaning head by pushing a button and attach the window, mirror and glass cleaner. I then put on the dusting wand and my son’s finger prints were gone right away. I barely had to touch it, it’s my new favorite way to clean windows. I also used the carpet attachment (it helps the mop glide over carpet) and was able to get a tomato sauce stain out in seconds. You can also use the H20 Mop to steam clothes or curtains and as a handheld steamer (included nozzle) to blast off baked “gunk”.

The only criticism I have with the H20 X5 is that I wish the cord was a bit longer. I do have to change outlets a few times when doing the main floor in my house. Overall, I believe this is a product that everyone should own in their homes. Not only does it save you money in the long run (no more need to buy cleaning supplies), but it’s so easy to use.
