How To Make Vegetable Noodles
Chances are you’ve seen it all over Pinterest by now: Vegetable Noodles. They’re a fun and low carb way to still eat pasta dishes, making vegetable noodles has many health benefits. If you’ve ever wondered how to do it, you’re in luck. I have compiled a few products that I’ve read about and I’ll tell you how to get them.
I think it’s important to note that I haven’t tried any of these yet. I am going to start small and order the West Elm Peeler first, simply because it’s the cheapest. I do have two of the same peelers on this list (OXO) but one is available to my Canadian readers while the other is available to my US readers. The peelers and Spiralizer should be available to all of you.
I love the possibilities that having a julienne peeler (or a spiralizer) brings. I’ll be able to use other vegetables in place of pasta, other then spaghetti squash. I can make “rainbow spaghetti” for my son using zucchini, carrots and beets. Or maybe a summer salad with a red wine vinaigrette.
It will make it easier for myself and my family when we want to incorporate more paleo or vegetarian recipes into our menu plan. It will be great for my husband and I when we want to lose a few extra pounds but don’t want to sacrifice our favorite pasta dishes. It will be beneficial for my son’s health when I want to hide a few extra vegetables in his meals.
I love this idea.
How do you incorporate more vegetables in your meals? Have you ever made vegetable noodles?
