Online Logo Maker
I’m not a creative person and when it comes to blogging and building a brand, that comes back to hurt me – endlessly. I have spent hours on The Bewitchin’ Kitchen and making it what it is today, but when it came to making a logo: I hired it out. Had I known of Online Logo Maker then, I may have given it a shot.
Right now I am building a new blog with my friend Britney. It’s called A Fit Mess and it follows us as we get into the best shape of our lives. It shows our high and low moments (we both like
junk food comfort food and wine), what motivates us, our meal plans and workouts and it follows my BeachBody business as a fitness consultant. We have a great idea but we’re starting from the beginning and it’s driving me crazy. We don’t have a logo and the make shift one I threw together in Photoshop is not cutting it.
I have only been using Online Logo Maker for about fifteen minutes but already I feel like I’m getting somewhere. I really like how when you first open the site it’s not overwhelming. Everything you see is self explanatory and simple to navigate. At first glance, I was sad to see that the selection of symbols were very clip art circa Microsoft Office late 90’s but at second glance I noticed an upload symbol button. That had me falling in love with the site right there. I don’t have symbol yet for A Fit Mess, so for demonstration purposes I chose the wine glass symbol from the given selection.
The text selections are hit and miss. There are a few premium fonts available but most things seemed very generic and there wasn’t a huge variety to choose from. I would love to see the option to upload your own fonts in the future. For this review I chose two fonts to try out. What I liked about the text edit area is the shadowing. When I clicked “show shadow” everything was where I wanted it at first try, no fiddling around with opacity and size like in Photoshop. You have those options, but the default settings were perfect for what I wanted. You can change the color of the shadow (I had pink) and create something very unique.
In the end I think this free logo maker is a great alternative to expensive editing software. As a blogger I appreciate that I can design a custom looking logo for free, as a mother (and a very busy woman) I love that it takes no time at all. You have no idea how many hours I have spent pouring my heart and soul into Photoshop with no results. Another bonus is that you don’t have to download a thing, it’s all online. It’s easy, fast and free. What more can a person ask for?
