Enjoying The Signs Of Spring WW LINKY
One of the only reasons I was some-what excited to move to the North Coast of British Columbia was the mild winter. When we arrived last March, there was no snow and we were told it had been gone since January. Score, right? Well after enduring our first winter here, I was not that impressed. I’m welcoming the signs of spring.
I’m not quite sure when the snow officially melted (it was a couple weeks ago), but it was a few weeks too late. Why I feel this entitlement of no snow, I have no clue. I grew up three hours from here and we had snow until April (almost annually) and it wasn’t that long ago and Stettler (where I moved from) was still getting hounded with the white stuff. Maybe it’s all the dreaming I have been doing of moving to the Okanagan.
So when I was staging my reading nook for photos two weeks ago, I bought fresh flowers. I wanted something bright and alive in my house (the skies here have been grey lately due to all the rain). As I was moving furniture around, I turned to find my toddler smelling a flower for the first time.
It’s amazing how time and time again, a two year old shows me the important things in life. He was in awe over the flowers and wouldn’t leave them alone for the days the followed (which isn’t as cute as it seems, there were petals everywhere – he is still a boy).
I’m aware this is a “wordy” Wordless Wednesday, but I felt that these photos needed a little bit of story behind them. Maybe a little bit of a reminder as well.
