This is my dog, Chilli…
Chilli is a three year old pure bred Pomeranian. For those of you who don’t have Pomeranians, they are picky. You can’t just feed them any food, premium dog food only. I’m always very conscious of what I am putting into my dog’s system because I don’t want him to get sick (I tried to give him joe-blow brand before and ended up puking for a week straight and foaming at the mouth and shaking non-stop). So I was curious when I heard about Iams ProActive Health.
P&G Pet Care, who are the makers of Eukanuba (Chilli’s usual brand) and Iams ProActive Health, has introduced prebiotic pet food formulas to help maintain a dog’s intestinal health. Think about it; lately on the news, ads on T.V, etc all you hear about it is prebiotics and it’s importance to a healthy digestional tract and lifestyle, so why wouldn’t you want the same for your pet? We tend to forget about these family members (I’m ashamed to admit it, but I do and I know I am not alone out there).Iams ProActive Health now features the prebiotic FOS (fructooligosaccharides). So what does this do? Well the prebiotics stimulate the balance of gut microflora (which is a species of good bacteria), in the end it promotes a strong immune system to help fight off disease and illnesses.

I have two dogs, but we do a mix of dry food, and raw food. We’ve been using science diet for 7 years now, and my older dog (she’s 12) would probably be mad at me if I switched it up on her now!
