Ingredients

  • 3 cup cooked white rice preferably cold
  • 12 oz sirloin steak chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 medium green onions sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion diced
  • 1 medium carrot diced
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 clove garlic cloves
  • 2 tso sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds to serve

Instructions

  • Set a wok over medium heat and add 1 tbsp butter and sliced steak. Cook until the meat is brownish, about 5-7 minutes. Place cooked meat in a bowl and cover it. Set it aside.
  • Add 1 tbsp of butter to the wok, diced yellow onion, diced carrot and green peas. Stir for 3-4 minutes or until onion is soft.
  • Next, add the white part of the green onion and minced garlic. Stir for a minute until fragrant.
  • Add cooked rice, cooked meat, green peas, soy sauce and beaten eggs. Stir for 2-3 minutes or until rice is nicely golden and eggs are cooked. Remove from heat.
  • Add lemon juice and sesame oil. Stir to combine.
  • Serve with sliced green onion and sesame seeds on top.
