Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders

These bacon wrapped chicken tenders are so flavorful and quick to make. With just two ingredients and three spices, you’ll have a crowd pleasing appetizer or main dish.

The easiest way to dress up chicken is to add bacon. However, with this recipe, not only do we add bacon flavor, but we also temper the bacon with a mix of soy, paprika, and cayenne pepper. This mixture of spice gives the chicken an extra kick and truly makes it one of my favorites!

Do you have picky or sensitive eaters at home? This recipe can also easily be altered to include their tastes. Simply leave off the sauce on their pieces of chicken or cook the chicken and bacon separately for them.

How to Make the Perfect Chicken Wrapped in Bacon

Preheat and Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. For easy clean up, I find that it’s best to use parchment paper on a baking sheet with this recipe.

Chop Chicken Tenders: You can either make chicken tenders by chopping up chicken breasts to your desired thickness, or  you can buy boneless chicken tenders from the store. I prefer to use the whole breasts because I like the ability to control the thickness. This way your chicken will cook more uniformly. Chicken tenders from the store are often smaller. But if you’re short on time and want to skip the first step, they’ll work.

Wrap with Bacon: When wrapping the chicken with bacon, cover each piece from tip to tip. This ensures even baking and the bacon will keep the juices from the chicken inside.

Mix Sauce: After you’ve wrapped the chicken with bacon and added them to a baking sheet, mix soy sauce, paprika, cayenne pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Use a cooking brush to gently brush the sauce over the bacon. This mix will add extra flavor to your dish!

Pro Tip: You can wrap and spice your chicken ahead of time and refrigerate until you are ready to bake and serve. Chicken will keep in the refrigerator for up to three days.
