How Many Calories Are Burned Doing Barre Blend

I have fallen in love with the Barre Blend workout, created by Elise Joan and offered by Beachbody. If you’re like me and have been faithfully following this workout program but are curious about the calories burned doing Barre Blend, then this post is for you.

How many calories does Barre Blend Burn?

First of all, let’s talk about what I’m using to measure my burn. I have an Apple Watch Series 4. I absolutely love it but I know that it’s costly.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option. Check out the polar heart rate monitor. Before my Apple Watch, I had the Polar FT4, it’s low cost and worked great. If you can find one used, great because it’s discontinued.

As for my stats? I’m 5’3 and started Barre Blend at 154 pounds. You’ll burn more potentially if you weigh more and a lot of the group members say they burn more in round 2, round 3, etc.

Everyone is different. Everybody burns differently. There are so many factors. However, my Beachbody calorie burn posts are always high on the read list and often requested so here we go. I will update this post as each workout gets completed.

What do I need for Barre Blend?

There isn’t really any equipment needed for barre blend.

You will need Beachbody On Demand to access the workout.

You don’t need to buy a fancy barre if you don’t want, you can just use a chair (I’m using this step stool).

It’s recommended you buy some light weights (1lbs, 2lbs, 3lbs). I have Bowflex SelectTechs but they’re too heavy. Truth is, I’ve never worked out with such lightweights before.

I ordered 2lb weights and I use two cans of tomato sauce for lighter (my kitchen scale said they weight just over 1lb each).

Other options are water bottles, hairspray bottles (did that too), etc.

As for enhancements, you can also add some booty bands or resistance loops as well, but this is totally optional.

F.A.Q’s.

Are you following the Ultimate Portion Fix or 2B Mindset?

No. I am creating my own meal plans and writing a nutrition guide and using my body as a guinea pig 😉 It’s working. I’m eating a ton of veggies and lean protein and still enjoying cake and pizza when I truly want it.

Are you doing any other workouts on top of this?

No. I’m only following Barre Blend and the Barre Blend Enhancements. Most days I add one enhancement after my workout. I will take a small walk each day (well, most days).

Do you workout on the weekends?

Not heavy workouts. I am following the Barre Blend calendar. I will do yoga each day, a roll and replenish, and maybe one or two small enhancements. I typically use this time to rest my body.

One comment on “How Many Calories Are Burned Doing Barre Blend”

  1. Do you mind me asking how much weight you lost doing the barre Blend program? I’m between that and something a little more cardio based, but I used to love barre blend and would love to try it again, but worried I won’t see the results I’m looking for. Thanks!
