Scentsy | Home Scents
 Oh do I ever love Scentsy! For those of you who don’t know, Scentsy is a wickless candle. It’s actually a brilliant idea. You have a decorative warmer (that heats up with a light bulb) and your scented wax. Just place the wax on the warmer, it melts and fills your home with an intoxicating smell. It’s amazing, and best of all – it’s safe!
Scentsy is a consultant driven business. I have been working with Alicia’s Scentsy Home Scents-Wickless Candles business since before Christmas and I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I have worked with many consultants in the past (not just with Scentsy) and the majority of the time it seems like they are in it to just make a buck. A lot of the time consultants don’t realize that they are technically running a business and have to make the customer feel welcomed and appreciated.
Alicia was a joy to work with, and she showed me that she does care about her customers. That was made clear to me when she asked me a simple question that no other consultant has…
“In order for you to be satisfied, I would like to know about the kind of scents you like and for you to tell me a little bit about the decor of your home.”
Awesome, just awesome. I told her that my decor is mostly neutral (browns, beige’s) and told her I liked sweeter scents (Sugar Cookie is my favorite Scentsy bar).
A couple of weeks later I received my order in the mail and dove right in. Alicia sent me the Malta Full Size Warmer and a variety of scents to review.
My first impression of the warmer wasn’t the best. I thought it was incredibly tacky and I couldn’t imagine it settling in with the rest of my decor in my basement. The moment I placed it on my corner console, I ate my words. It works beautifully and I would have never have thought that this would be the perfect piece that I have been missing. I couldn’t imagine any other warmer fitting in as wonderful as this one does. Alicia did an amazing job at choosing a warmer for me, and I’m sure it wasn’t easy with the vague description I gave her.
Scent wise I receive a lot to review. The one Scentsy bar that I would like to focus on is the Mochadoodle Scentsy Bar. I love sweet smells, but I have never been a huge fan of the chocolate scent (I’m weird, I know). When I first took the bar out and “took a whiff” I didn’t care for it, but I liked how strong it was and thought it could help mask the smell of our basement.
It was completely different once heated up. Mochadoodle is now one of my favorite scents from Scentsy. I have a large basement and the aroma of Mochadoodle travels through the whole thing and covers basement smell. I love it.
I received many other scents as well, but I haven’t had enough time to review them all (Scentsy bars and bricks last a long time). However, like I said above all the scents are different heated up. There were a few I didn’t care for until I had it in the warmer. It’s a good piece of information to know.
Scentsy does more then just warmer and bars as well. One of my favorite products would have to be the Scent Circles. Scent Circles are basically air fresheners. I have mine in the truck right now and it is 100% better then those “little trees” in two ways: it looks a lot better (less tacky) and the smell is amazing. You can also get creative with Scent Circles placing them in closets, dressers or entry ways to always make a great first impression.

I’m such a fan of Scentsy! I’m not a fan of chocolate candle scents either (actual chocolate is another story) but I honestly don’t think I’ve ever smelled a stinky Scentsy scent.
